The two-dimensional works encompass diverse scale and media, but with a constancy of rhythm and attachment to primal nature. The compositions begin with an emotion rather than sketch, with immediate circumstance the ultimate determiner in outcome. After the outcome, the content and vocabulary describe an ongoing story of struggle between the natural world and the mechanical forces of civilization. As human beings, we are inherently obliged to exist within this struggle, and each of us takes our place in this scheme and find our own personal balance.
